Terms of Service

The terms for using the creative workspace and your project materials.

Last updated: 2026-10-28

Using the workspace

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The creative workspace lets you choose a stage, add optional creative content and up to two reference images, and set the model, framing, duration and resolution. A composition preview lets you review those choices in your browser. A saved project contains settings and source metadata; it is not a rendered video. When enabled, the selected Seedance model generates video through SEEAPI. Features available on the page define what you can use.

Your materials and permissions

You retain your rights in the materials you provide. You are responsible for having permission to use the photos, music, voices, and likenesses included in your project. A third-party song link does not grant a license to reuse that song.

You authorize us and the service providers processing your request to host, copy and process your submitted material as needed for safety checks, generation, delivery and task history. AI output may contain artifacts, inaccurate details or unexpected similarities to other content. Review the video and its audio before publishing. We do not guarantee that an output is unique, eligible for copyright protection, or free of third-party rights.

Acceptable use and AI content standards

The Content Standards and Acceptable Use form part of these terms. They apply to Video STUDIO, text-to-video and image-to-video generation, including your prompts, lyrics, reference images, generated video and audio, and use or sharing of results. Do not upload, request, generate or distribute:

  • Sexual or NSFW content: pornography, nudity, sexually explicit content, sexual services or non-consensual intimate images, including AI-generated or altered depictions.
  • Violence or gore: graphic injury, torture, animal cruelty, extreme violence, or content encouraging real-world violence, terrorism or self-harm.
  • Hate, threats or harassment: discriminatory attacks based on protected characteristics, violent extremist propaganda, threats, targeted abuse or intimidation.
  • Child abuse or exploitation (CSAM): sexualized depictions of minors, child sexual abuse material, grooming or other content that exploits or endangers children, including fictional or synthetic material.
  • Deceptive impersonation or harmful deepfakes: fraud, identity theft, fabricated endorsements, or unauthorized use of someone's likeness or voice to mislead, humiliate or harm them.
  • Infringing or unlawful content: violations of copyright, trademarks, privacy, likeness or publicity rights, disclosure of private information, or other illegal material.

You must hold the necessary rights and consents for your inputs and use of the output. Do not bypass safety checks or disguise rejected content to evade review. Review the complete video and audio before sharing, and identify AI-generated content when needed to avoid misleading viewers or comply with law.

Reference images must pass automated image review, and the composed prompt must pass the configured text safety check before it is sent for video generation. Rejected or incomplete checks do not authorize generation. Credits reserved for a task are returned when a safety rejection is confirmed. These checks cannot guarantee that every violation will be detected; we do not currently perform a separate automated review of every generated video. The content standards explain the review process and its limits.

Depending on the severity and recurrence of a violation, we may warn the user, reject requests, restrict access to or remove content under our control, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve records or report matters to authorities where required by law. Technical errors alone are not misconduct. Payment and refund questions remain subject to the refund policy and applicable law.

Anyone can report content or abuse through our public support email without registering or purchasing. Signed-in users can also submit a support ticket. Include the content URL or task ID, the reason for the report and a contact email; do not resend illegal material. We acknowledge reports within 1 business day and complete review, take any required action and notify the reporter within 5 business days of receipt, subject to privacy, security and legal restrictions. To appeal a restriction, reply through the same channel with the relevant reference and your reasons.

Project files and examples

Keep your original media together with saved project settings. A settings file does not back up the media itself. You are responsible for retaining copies of the materials you need.

Displayed videos illustrate creative directions. Availability of an example does not grant ownership or a license to redistribute third-party media. Review the rights for any material before publishing your own work.

Accounts and paid features

If you use an account, keep its credentials secure. Composition previews and project exports use no credits. Generation requires sign-in and the displayed number of general credits. The quote depends on your selected model, resolution and duration. Standard at 720p for 12 seconds costs 10 credits; aspect ratio does not change the price. Legacy video-package allowances are separate. If the price changes before submission, you must review the updated quote and submit again.

One-time credit packs and subscriptions can be paid through PayPal or Waffo when that method is available at checkout. Confirm the product, currency, price and renewal terms before authorizing payment. Returning generation credits is separate from a refund of a payment. For payment or refund questions, contact support with your order number; applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.

One-time credit packs do not expire and require no subscription. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the price and frequency shown at checkout until canceled. Monthly credits are granted at the start of each paid billing month and expire at its end; unused monthly credits do not roll over. Annual plans grant the stated annual quantity upfront, and those credits never expire. The annual quantity is not the monthly quantity multiplied by twelve. See the pricing page for each plan's price and quantity.

Pack and subscription credits share the general balance. Credits with the nearest expiry are spent first, before permanent credits. You can stop future renewals from Settings → Billing; monthly credits remain available until the current paid billing month ends, while annual and one-time pack credits remain valid indefinitely after cancellation.

Credits are reserved when a task is created and returned if safety review rejects the request or generation definitively fails or is canceled. A timeout or unavailable status does not prove failure: the saved task remains recoverable and its credits stay reserved while the outcome is uncertain. A finished video may be available through a temporary SEEAPI preview before its transfer to Cloudflare R2 is complete. Check the storage status; a temporary preview does not mean the video has been saved to our storage. Keep your own copy of finished videos. Temporary URLs can expire, and storage availability is not guaranteed indefinitely.

Availability and responsibility

The website and creative previews are provided as available. Browser compatibility, file formats, or technical interruptions may affect operation. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or a particular creative result. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Privacy and questions

See the Privacy Policy for how the workspace handles files and links. For account, payment, content-reporting or other service questions, contact support using either option below. Email is available without an account; the support form requires sign-in.

Changes

We may update these terms when the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
